Join Haunted Midwest Ghost Tours at Ashmore Estates where the show Destination Fear just filmed and will be coming out with the episode soon. Multiple other shows have filmed here before including Ghost Adventures. With tons of recorded deaths on the property this location has become a nightmare for investigators and guests with some not even lasting the night.
You have your choice of Aug 18th or 19th or do both nights. Times are from 7pm to 2am. There are some hotels in the area. Ashmore Estates is in Ashmore IL. This location has witnessed people being pushed and scratched. Disembodied voices and screams come from the halls. A great place to grab a voice recorder and get some EVPs. Guests have seen shadows moving in the halls and lots more. Come and Face your fear. Costs are as follows.
We like to keep our price low but we also have to pay the location fees and our staff. To investigate at this amazing place with our staff while they use the latest equipment it's $89.00 a person per night. You can do both nights but would have to buy two nights and sorry there is no two night deal. We are unable at this time to hand out equipment on free roam but there are many stores online to buy some. You can bring your own if you like.
We will investigate with you from 7pm to 1030pm and then you have free roam to investigate on your own and see what you can find in the dark. We supply water but any snacks or other drinks that are non alcoholic you can bring on your own. All Sales are final as there are no refunds. You can sell them but we need to know who buys them. Ages 14 and up but all minors must be with legal guardian. Rules in the next section.
No alcohol or drugs on the propery or you will be removed without a refund. All sales are final. You can sell your tickets if you cant come but you need to tell us who you sold them too. No out of control guests or loud guests disturbing the investigations. You will get one warning after that you will be asked to leave without a refund. Please do not bring protection including salt, holywater, bags of crystals as you are here to see ghosts not get them to go away. Waivers must be signed to enter the building. History of Ashmore Estates
1857-1915
From 1857 until 1869, the Coles County Poor Farm was located in Charleston Township near the small town of Loxa, Illinois. In 1870, the county purchased 260 acres from A. N. Graham in Section 35 of Ashmore Township for a new farm, which sat astride the Indianapolis & St. Louis Railroad. This small timber and brick building, constructed by H. B. Truman, was the first to sit on that property. It was 38x58 feet and two stories tall, with an attached kitchen.
Many residents, or "inmates" as they were called, died at the farm, and the county maintained a small cemetery somewhere north of the grounds. In 1879, Joshua Ricketts, superintendent of the county farm at the time, had recorded 32 deaths out of the roughly 250 inmates who had stayed at the farm between 1870 and 1879. Another pauper cemetery, established a few years later, still exists south of Route 16 and now contains the graves of between sixty to one hundred persons.
